Oxfordshire company Airdri has launched Classic+, an energy-efficient dryer that is claimed to possess an average drying time of 13 seconds.
Also requiring a reduced power requirement of 1700W at 240V, noise level is also said to be lower, with an output of 78 decibels.
Available in three finishes - white, black and chrome - the dryer comes with a tough, vandal-resistant aluminium body.
Fully automatic and with an infra-red sensor system, the dryer is also said to offer better energy efficiency as the unit turns on only when the user requires hand drying, and off again at a pre-determined interval.
Furthermore, the no-touch operation means that the risk of cross infection is effectively eliminated.
